Short Presentation
Mirko Skiborowski studied Computational Engineering Science, specializing in process engineering, at RWTH Aachen University. Subsequently he pursued his Ph.D., working as research associate at the chair of Process Systems Engineering on the development of optimization-based methods for the conceptual design of separation processes for azeotropic mixtures. He finished his Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Marquardt in 2014, defending it in March 2015. His work at the laboratory was focused on the development of efficient tools for process synthesis and the investigation, modelling and optimization of different technologies for process intensification in fluid separations. In 2020, he became the head of the Institute of Process Systems Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).
